A 33 years old Nigerian man based in the US named Babatope Owoseni has been charged with murder in connection to the death of  the mother of his two kids ''Fatoumata Owoseni''who is said to be expecting their third child and was  9 months old pregnant  before her death,both stayed at 39 South Munn Avenue New Jersey USA.The lady was found dead in the apartment.

Fortunately he is someone i have seen few occasions on OAU campus being an alumni of the institution,I however have some sources who were friends with him.
Although the Police are yet to give any infomation on what really happened but there are heavy speculations he might have battered the wife which led to her death.
According to a source who would rather remain anonymous,the murder suspect ''Babatope Oseni'' popularly known as ''Jackie'' is a graduate of accounting department from Obafemi Awolowo University(OAU) and shortly after graduating in year 2004 he relocated to United States and later joined the US army.Babatope is said to hail from Idanre town in Ondo state and heavily feared by people because of his bullying lifestyle,learnt also that his father once contested for a political office in their hometown.
Another source further revealed that she had always had a crush on Babatope during their days in the university that she never knew he was capable of doing such a thing while another confirmed source said:''I know tope very well we grew up in Akure together we are like a family,his mum is really a nice woman and he used to live at Ijapo estate before he became a US military man,he served in Afghan and Iraq,the woman in question has two kids for him,this is very  sad,i still saw tope last year and i thought he had changed because back in the days Tope used to slap and beat us silly,he had a really bad temper''.
However after reviewing reactions from several other people  who knew him,It was able to gather that he is a popular street fighter who likes to show forth his might like Samson and Goliath.
Is it then safe to conclude that he might have beaten his wife to death?lets wait for the autopsy report.rather a sad one!
Babatope Owoseni was arrested at East orange in New Jersey on Friday December 27th around 6am and has since being held at the Essex county Corrections Facility,bail is set at $750,000.
Acting Prosecutor Carolyn Murray commended investigative and legal staff members for their work on this case and others.

“I would like to thank the Essex County Prosecutor’s Office Homicide Task Force investigative and legal staff, along with our state and federal partners who continue to work around the clock to solve these cases,” Murray said in a press release, “They have given up precious time with their loved ones to bring justice to these individuals that we have charged.”
