Lagos - Nigeria’s economy has been projected to become the world’s 25th largest economy and Africa’s second by 2028, reports BusinessDay.
The new finding according to the Centre for Economic and Business Research’s (CEBR) World Economic League Table showed that Nigeria will also overtake South Africa as Sub Saharan Africa’s largest economy in 2020.
Growing population rate and buoyant consumer spending will help push Nigeria’s economy into the front in the next 15 years.
According to the report, Nigeria will leapfrogged from its 36th position in the league table in 2013 to 25th in 2028.
